Materials

â—† 3-inch embroidery hoops
â—† Holiday fabric
â—† Wooden horse cutouts
â—† Acrylic paint and paintbrushes (optional)
â—† Super glue or hot glue gun
â—† Ribbon (optional)
â—† Twine

Directions

Step 1: Using acrylic paint, paint your wooden cutout horses. If you choose, you can leave them their natural color for a more rustic look.

Step 2: Cut your fabric into small squares a little bigger than your embroidery hoop (about a ½” to 1″ bigger on the sides—better to have too much fabric and cut it down later than not enough).

Step 3: Open your embroidery hoop and place the fabric between the two rings and tighten the fastener at the top.

Step 4: Once tight, trim your fabric so it is in the shape of a circle and only a little bit hangs out in between the rings.

Step 5: Using super glue or a hot glue gun (with an adult’s help), glue the extra fabric down inside the hoop. Then glue the wooden horse to the front of the fabric.

Step 6: Add twine at the top for a hook; add ribbon for extra color.

Step 7: Hang on a tree or around the house and enjoy!
